Advantages and Characteristics

• Excellent oxidation resistance: Cr15Ni60 alloy effectively prevents the formation of oxide layer in high temperature air environment. Its surface can form a dense chromium oxide film at high temperature, further improving its corrosion resistance. At high temperatures of 800°C to 1000°C, the formation rate of the Cr2O₃ film is accelerated and the oxidation rate is significantly reduced.
• Corrosion resistance: Cr15Ni60 alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in acidic and alkaline media. For example, in nitric acid (HNO₃) solution, its corrosion rate is less than 0.01 mm/a, which is much lower than that of similar resistance alloys. In 3.5% NaCl solution, the corrosion rate within 24 hours is 0.015 mm/year. In 5% H₂SO₄ solution, the corrosion rate is 0.02 mm/year for 72 hours. In a 200 ppm chloride solution, the corrosion rate for 120 hours is 0.025 mm/year.
• Density and Melting Point: The density of Cr15Ni60 alloy is 8.2 g/cm³ and the melting point ranges from 1368℃ - 1405℃.
• Thermal conductivity and expansion coefficient: The thermal conductivity is 13 - 20 W/m·K, and the linear expansion coefficient is relatively low, usually around 13.5 × 10⁻⁶/℃. This property is particularly important for the precision manufacturing of electric heating elements, as it ensures that the alloy's performance is stable and not easily deformed during repeated heating and cooling.
